Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is an Indian soap opera that started airing in 2009 and is still ongoing. This drama has almost 67 seasons, and is ranked as longest running Indian serial. 

Plot story of the drama serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai:

The drama is about story is about three generations of a family, at start the drama story revolves around Akshara and Naitik, then the drama describes the life of Naira (daughter of Akshara) and Kartik. Now the drama story revolves around Akshara (Naira and Kartik’s daughter) and Abhimanyu. The drama story starts with Akshara Singhania getting married to Naitik, at start they find it difficult to get bond to each other but as the time passes their love for each other increases. Their son Naksh is born. After the birth of Naksh soon after Naitik falls into coma because of an accident. 

Naitik recovers from coma after four years and finds Naksh difficult to understand. After Naira is born, Mahendra dies and Akshara is blamed for her death by Kaveri, on which Akshara leaves the house with her family. The drama skips ten-year time period and Akshara is shown living in Cape town. Naksh comes back to Udaipur and asks Kaveri to forgive Akshara as she is innocent. 

Whole family comes back. Naksh falls in love with Tara but their marriage gets broken due to some misunderstanding. Naira is separated from family as she flees in fear of getting wrongly accused for her friend death. After seven years Akshara finds her as she visits an orphanage where Naira is living and is grown up as a strong but arrogant girl. The love triangle between Naira, Kartik and Gayatri is formed as these three cross paths with each other. 

The drama story starts to revolves around them as Akshara dies in a car accident. Kartik confesses his feeling for Naira which she accepts and they get married. Kartik who hated his father for his mother death reconciles with him as truth is revealed about his mother death. Naksh marries Keerti. Naira decides to fulfil her Parents dream and open’s a dance academy. Naira leaves Kartik house as she is blamed for Swarna’s son (Kartik half-brother), and Kartik is refusing trust her.

After two years Naira is shown leaving in Mumbai with her father. Naira undergoes a surgery due to a blood clot in her brain, after her surgery she and Kartik remarry. Naira and Keerti get pregnant, but unfortunately Naira gives birth to a dead baby. Keerti meets an accident and falls into coma after giving birth to a boy. Kartik swaps the babies and names him Krish. Naira loses her memory but as later remembers everything and reunites with Kartik. 

As Naira joins a business, and gets busy in work on which Kartik feels insecure about her busy routine and question Naira’s relation with her business partner. On which Naira gets angry and leaves the house without telling him that she is pregnant. She presumed dead due to accident. Naira is shown living with her son Kairav. She gets unite with Kartik and gives birth to Akshara. Due to some accident Naira dies. 

Kairav meets Naira look alike, named Sirat and on his demand Kartik asks her to take care of Kairav. After the death of Ranveer who is former lover of Sirat, she gets close to Kartik and after some time they get married. She gives birth to Aarohi. After eight years Kartik dies in a plane crash and Sirat dies in an accident. Aarohi gets manipulated by Sheela in blaming Akshara for the death of Sirat. 

After twelve years both girls are shown grown up. Akshara became a singer and Aarohi wants to be a doctor. A love triangle is formed between Abhimanyu, Aarohi and Akshara. After some up and downs Akshara and Abhimanyu marry each other. Akshara is gets pregnant but her child dies. Aarohi is also pregnant and gives birth to a girl named Ruhi and Abhimanyu acts as her father after the death of Neil. 

Akshara discover that one of her children is alive and finds him. Abhimanyu learns about Akshara living with Abhinav and a boy Abhir. He decides to accept that Akshara has moved on with her life and he decides to do same. Manjri announces about the marriage of Abhimanyu and Aarohi.
